Monthly Pics- 6 Months

Avery did great at her 6 month appointment last week.  She weighed in at 16.4lbs (56th percentile) and was 26in long (59th percentile)!!  I can't believe she is already half a year old!  She is very busy now days...rolling all over her play-mat/blanket, jumping in her jumparoo, and sitting up all by herself to play with her toys.  She loves to be up and looking around, but when she falls over, she whines until we sit her back up.  Her two bottom teeth are almost all the way in!  She is mainly wearing 3-6 and 6-9 month clothing and is still in a size 2 diaper.  She is starting to love food more and more.  Pears are definitely her favorite.  Another big change that took place right around her 6 month birthday is we stopped nursing.  She is getting a mix of frozen breast milk and formula for the next few weeks before she will be on 100% formula.  She is also still taking reflux medicine twice a day but hoping to stop that soon too.  Overall, she is keeping us busy and we are enjoying every minute!

Easter 2012

Avery had a great first Easter!  Grandma Linda and Buddy came in town for the weekend and we all had a great time!

Monthly Pic- 5 months

Avery is starting to get very busy and had a lot of new experiences this month!   She has started solids...sweet potatoes, avacado, and bananas so far.   She is not really sure what to think about it but we keep offering her a few bites each evening.  She loves playing with her toys, grabbing her toes, and reaching out and touching our faces.  She has also been showing us she has a bit of a temper when she can't roll back over to her back or reach something she really wants!  She is also sitting up by herself for short periods of time...its only a matter of time before she starts crawling!  Also to our surprise we noticed right around her 5 month birthday that her bottom teeth were coming through!!!  I don't think she has been too bothered by them but she either has a toy or her finger in her mouth at all times!   She is still wearing size 3-6 month clothing and size 2 diaper.  She is a pretty good sleeper taking a morning and afternoon nap with a cat nap in the evenings sometimes.  She sleeps from about 830pm-830am and is up about once a night around 4am to eat.
